The second briefing of ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP) was successfully conducted at MIROS Main Hall on the 26th<\/sup>\u00a0of March 2012. The participants were mainly from car manufacturers (OEMs), automotive organizations and vendors. This second briefing was honored by the presence of Mr. John Metcalfe from Australasian NCAP (ANCAP) and he presented the gist of NCAP and ANCAP in his capacity of ANCAP Technical Adviser. This briefing also included the background and current progress of ASEAN NCAP by Mr. Azhar Hamzah (Unit Head of MIROS\u2019 Crash Safety Engineering), a briefing on the Automotive Safety Week (ASW) 2012 by Mr. Zulhaidi Jawi (Head of Secretariat for ASW 2012), and the updated ASEAN NCAP protocols including Car Selection protocol by Mr. Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim (ASEAN NCAP Development Manager) on behalf of the ASEAN NCAP Steering Committee (SC). The event ended with closing remarks by MIROS\u2019 Director-General, Prof. Dr. Wong Shaw Voon, after a round of \u201cQuestion and Answer\u201d session.
