Thus, this new accreditation also reflects their commitment towards the ASEAN region, where IDIADA is established in Malaysia and Thailand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The agreement was made effective on 10<sup>th<\/sup> August 2020 \u00a0through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by ASEAN NCAP\u2019s Secretary-General, (Ir. Ts. Dr.) Adjunct Prof. Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim, IDIADA\u2019s Director for Body &amp; Passive Safety, Joaquim Huguet\u00a0and IDIADA USA Director, Carlos Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About ASEAN NCAP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), the ninth NCAP program in the world, is a program that was formed in 2011 based on a collaborative effort between the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) and Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP). It was formed with the mutual objectives to enhance safety standards, raise consumer awareness and encourage the production of safer vehicles in the South East Asian region.
