Kuala Lumpur, 13 April 2017<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 The Secretary General of New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), Dr Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim today gave a public lecture entitled Safer Vehicles for Road Safety<\/em> with focus on the vehicle safety assessment program. Dr Khairil is also the Chairman of Society of Automotive Engineers, Malaysia. The lecture was organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers\u2019 Student Chapter and Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n

The lecture was attended close to 150 students comprising student representatives from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia of Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur branches, and Taylor\u2019s University. It was an interactive lecture with Dr Khairil raised several questions to\u00a0the students such as vehicle regulations implemented in the country and about locally manufactured cars that received ASEAN NCAP ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
