Putrajaya, 26 June 2015<\/i> \u2013 ASEAN NCAP Secretary-General, Mr. Khairil Anwar bin Abu Kassim, was last week appointed as Chairman of the Society of Automotive Engineers International, Malaysia (SAE-M) during the society\u2019s 13th annual general meeting.<\/p>\n

“Khairil has serviced the society since May 2008 and has been appointed to various positions in the committee including vice chairman and treasurer. Although he is currently heavily engaged with his assignment as ASEAN NCAP Secretary-General, we are confident that he can move SAE-M to another level of success,\u201d said Dr. Azman Zainul Abidin, former Chairman of SAE Malaysia and current advisor of the society.<\/p>\n

When asked how he will drive SAE-M in the future, Khairil emphasized on the strategy of giving back to the society will become its major focus.<\/p>\n

\u201cSAE-M role as a mediator between government agencies, academicians, and automotive practitioners need to be strengthened in order to achieve this aim,\u201d added Khairil.<\/p>\n
