Kajang, 24 February 2015<\/i><\/b> \u2013 ASEAN NCAP will have its inaugural Road Tour from 25th February 2015 (Wednesday) until 28th February 2015 (Saturday). The tour will be launched from its headquarters at MIROS in Kajang, and will meet Malaysian motorists at six stops including four R&R\u2019s along the North-South (PLUS) Expressway.<\/p>\n

At each stop, ASEAN NCAP Road Tour crew will organize several activities, fun contest and lucky draws in its aim to attract more attention of car users towards appreciating safety in cars. Two universities are also selected \u2013 Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) at Nibong Tebal Campus, Penang \u2013 in order to meet ASEAN NCAP\u2019s focus for youth as new car buyers. The closing ceremony will be held at the last stop at R&R Jejantas Sungai Buloh on Saturday (28th February).<\/p>\n

ASEAN NCAP Secretary-General, Mr. Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim said, \u201cWe have two main aims for this tour, first is to keep promoting and educating the public about car safety and NCAP, and second is to focus on the young car users based on our strategic approach. At the two universities, we will have technical talk with the students on road safety and the ASEAN NCAP program. I hope we could gain more support from Malaysian road users towards our \u201csafer vehicle\u201d agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n
