Bangkok, 2 December 2014<\/i><\/b> \u2013 The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) is proud to announce the latest result in ASEAN NCAP safety rating for Nissan Teana which has become the first car to achieve full points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). Nissan Teana also became the first car to achieve 5-Star rating in Child Occupant Protection (COP) with 88 percent compliance. ASEAN NCAP Chairman, Prof. Dr. Wong Shaw Voon, delivered the result to Nissan representative at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2014, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Prof. Wong said, \u201cCongratulations to Nissan for this achievement, and this new record means a lot to both the consumers and car manufacturers. The perfect score in AOP as well as being the first to reach 5-Star level in COP is a commendable result and has set another benchmark for a large family sedan.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following are the gist of the Nissan Teana result (Quarter IV 2014 December Release<\/b>):<\/p>\n

>> \u00a0Nissan Teana<\/b> \u2013 5-Star<\/b> in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP); 5-Star<\/b> in Child Occupant Protection (COP).<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

>>\u00a0Nissan Teana obtained full mark for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) (16.00 points). Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is a standard fit for all ASEAN variants.<\/p>\n

>>\u00a0 It is also the first car to reach 5-Star level in Child Occupant Protection (COP), with ISOFIX and top tether available as standard fit for all ASEAN variants.<\/p>\n

>>\u00a0 Teana is the third car by Nissan undergone ASEAN NCAP assessment after Nissan March (November 2012; AOP 4-Star & COP 48 percent or 2-Star) and Nissan Almera (July 2013; AOP 4-Star & COP 52 percent or 3-Star). (Note<\/b>: Prior to September 2013, COP result was just in percentage)<\/i><\/p>\n
