With the official launch of the all-new Perodua QV-E, ASEAN NCAP is delighted to confirm that the model successfully achieved the highest safety rating under the ASEAN NCAP 2021\u20132025 assessment protocol.<br><br>The new Perodua QV-E underwent the ASEAN NCAP assessment with a stellar result of a <strong>5-Star<\/strong> rating. The hatchback obtained an overall score of <strong>88.36 points,<\/strong> which was made up of the four assessment categories consisting of the <strong>Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category with 36.63 points, the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category with 16.73 points, the Safety Assist (SA) category with 20.00 points and the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category with 15.00 points<\/strong>.<br><br>The eagerly awaited Perodua QV-E model, which is available in one variant, offers standard features of six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for both frontal and rear occupants, rear seats occupant detection, Pedestrian Protection (PP), ISOFIX for child safety seat and Child Presence Detection (CPD). The EV model also offers several advanced safety assist technologies comprising Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City, AEB Inter-Urban, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) for both the driver- and passenger-side of the vehicle and Automatic High Beam (AHB) as standard equipment in its variant.<br><br>ASEAN NCAP is privileged to have conducted the safety assessment of Perodua\u2019s groundbreaking first Electric Vehicle, the QV-E. This vehicle is a testament to Malaysian ingenuity, developed locally in line with the Government\u2019s push for domestic EV manufacturing. Perodua has successfully delivered on its objective: making electric mobility accessible to the broader Malaysian public.<br><br>The new Perodua QV-E showcases a clear and commendable commitment to safety, becoming the first Malaysian vehicle model to assess Child Presence Detection (CPD) functionality using direct-sensing technology under the rigorous ASEAN NCAP 2021\u20132025 protocol. This significant achievement directly addresses the increasing concern surrounding child safety and the risk of children being forgotten in vehicles. Most notably, Perodua has prioritised safety by ensuring the QV-E is equipped with essential and advanced safety features offered as standard equipment.<br><br>ASEAN NCAP and MIROS are immensely proud of Perodua for making safety a top priority. This year, 2025, marks the final year of the 2021\u20132025 assessment protocol.
