The Nissan Almera was first assessed by ASEAN NCAP in 2013, earning a 4-star rating for the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category and 52% compliance for the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category.<br><br>The new Nissan Almera achieved a <strong>4-Star<\/strong> rating under the current ASEAN NCAP 2021\u20132030 protocol, earning an overall score of <strong>74.74 points<\/strong>. In the assessment, the sedan achieved <strong>36.34 points for the AOP category, 16.35 points for the COP category, 13.74 points for the Safety Assist (SA) category, and 8.30 points for the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category<\/strong>.<br><br>The Almera is equipped with six airbags as a standard fitment across all its variants, together with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for the driver only. In addition, the 5-seater sedan also offers safety assist technologies, namely Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City, AEB Inter-Urban, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) for both sides of the vehicle and Automatic High Beam (AHB) that are available either as standard or optional fitment in all its variants.<br><br>The model provided overall good protection to the dummy occupants during the test. Nevertheless, both adult dummies seated in the frontal occupant received adequate protection to their chests and lower legs, with pedal blocking found at the driver\u2019s foot and ankle. The sedan successfully obtained a maximum rating of 5 stars for the AOP and COP categories, while it received a maximum rating of 4 stars for both the SA and MS categories. Detailed information about the passive safety and active safety performances of the new Nissan Almera is accessible from the model\u2019s result report at the ASEAN NCAP website.<br><br>Nissan Almera is one of Nissan\u2019s most popular models. ASEAN NCAP is proud that Nissan is committed to having the necessary safety features fitted inside the model. With the availability of these safety features in the new Almera, Nissan has indeed placed importance on the safety of its occupants and other road users, particularly motorcyclists. ASEAN NCAP is pleased that Nissan has taken such action in ensuring that all road users will benefit from this.<br><br>The current ASEAN NCAP 2021\u20132025 assessment protocol encompasses four assessment domains, with AOP covering 40.00 points of the overall score, and COP, SA, and MS each contributing 20.00 points of the overall score. This year, 2025, marks the final year of the 2021\u20132025 assessment protocol.
