The Honda CR-V that was tested in 2014 was the first left-hand drive variant that was assessed by ASEAN NCAP. In the assessment, the SUV achieved 5-Star rating for the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category with the score of 15.46\/16.00 points and 4-Star for the Child Occupant Protection (COP) by scoring 86% compliance. The CR-V then became the first model to be assessed under ASEAN NCAP 2017-2020 protocol. ASEAN NCAP\u2019s second assessment on the model saw that it achieved 5-Star rating with an overall score of 88.80 points, accumulated from three assessment categories that are AOP, COP and Safety Assist (SA).<br><br>For this year\u2019s test, the new Honda CR-V continues its <strong>5-Star<\/strong> streak performance in which it successfully obtained a total score of <strong>87.16 points<\/strong>. The 7-seater SUV made an amazing performance in all of the assessment categories under the 2021-2025 protocol with scoring of <strong>39.31 points for the AOP, 17.97 points for COP category, 18.57 points for SA and 11.32 points for the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category<\/strong>.<br><br>The new Honda CR-V has a standard equipment of eight airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for frontal and rear seats occupants, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City, AEB Inter-Urban, AEB Pedestrian, Auto High Beam (AHB), Pedestrian Protection technology and Child Presence Detection (CPD) across all of its variants. The model offers advanced safety assist technologies either as standard or optional fitment namely Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Monitor (DAM), Blind Spot Visualization (BSV) on the passenger side of the vehicle, FCW for Motorcycle and AEB for Motorcycle. &nbsp;<br><br>SUV is among Honda\u2019s most popular models and the new Honda CR-V is the fourth of its SUV line-up that is being assessed under the ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 protocol. ASEAN NCAP is proud that the CR-V has consistently provide additional safety features to the consumers. This is further strengthened with the availability of the offered safety features in all the available countries across the ASEAN region either as standard or optional fitment. Other than having the safety technologies for the protection of vehicle occupants, the CR-V offers technologies than can prevent collision with motorcyclists namely BSV, AEB and FCW for Motorcycle. In addition, ASEAN NCAP is proud that Honda sees the importance of having CPD, an alert system to the driver to prevent instances of children being accidentally left inside the car and offers the technology as a standard feature across all their car variants. ASEAN NCAP congratulates Honda for their continuous commitment in offering the best safety technologies to the consumers in South East Asia.<br><br>The current ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 assessment protocol covers four assessment domains with AOP covers 40.00 points of the overall score, and COP, SA and MS make up 20.00 points each of the overall score.<br><br>The following is a summary of Honda CR-V result.<br>&gt;&gt;The Honda CR-V made an awesome achievement in the current assessment protocol with an accumulated score of <strong>87.16 points<\/strong>. The achieved score was made up from the AOP category with <strong>39.31 points<\/strong>, the COP category with <strong>17.97 points<\/strong>, SA assessment category with <strong>18.57 points<\/strong> and MS with <strong>11.32 points<\/strong>.
