Kajang, Malaysia, 27 February 2023 – The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) was pleased to receive a visit from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) last 23rd February 2023. This was the first face-to-face meeting between the two organizations after the COVID-19 pandemic. The visit that took place at MIROS office was for both organizations to touch base on the upcoming ASEAN NCAP roadmap for 2026-2030. The JAMA team also took the opportunity to experience the local road traffic conditions to gain understanding on the significance of certain vehicle safety technologies that ASEAN NCAP prioritizes in its current assessment protocol.
