Active Safety Webinars & Demonstrations during ASEAN Road Safety Week 2021

Kajang, Malaysia, 3 May 2021 – The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) is organizing the ASEAN Road Safety Week themed “Managing Speed” on 17 to 23 May 2021. The program is in conjunction with the 6th UN Global Road Safety Week 2021 organized by the United Nations (UN). The UN has declared 2021 to 2030 as the new decade action for road safety.

Road crashes are a major threat to public health. Nearly 1.3 million lives are lost in a year and an estimated 20 to 50 million are injured due to road crashes. Speed is a major factor in road injuries that can contribute to the risk of crashes. The event is organized as part of our effort to create awareness on the risk of speed. As such MIROS and ASEAN NCAP will be organizing two webinars and live streaming of crash avoidance technologies demonstrations at the following details.
